5/3/2021 0 Comments May 03rd, 2021Nearly every day we receive questions from people regarding uses for CBD. By now most people are very aware that CBD is a natural anti-inflammatory and it can help relieve pain, especially arthritis pain. Arthritis pain can be relieved by both topical and oral delivery of CBD. We recommend our CBD balm coupled with the 1200 mg. tincture for optimal results. However, this is certainly not the only reason people use CBD products. CBD is excellent for help with anxiety, mood disorders, and improved sleep. There have been many recent studies in these areas. Personally, I have found taking CBD tincture a few hours before bed is very soothing and has significantly improved the quality and quantity of my sleep.
Lately, I have been researching the use of CBD for other conditions and have been experimenting a bit. I have discovered some of my uses of CBD through reading research. As a 50+ year old I was very curious when I read a recent article about the effects of applying CBD tincture directly to the skin in place of regular moisturizer. I decided to try this out. I was pleasantly surprised when after only a week in, my skin was noticeably softer, my skin tone was more even, and the wrinkles around my eyes and mouth appear less visible. I opted to use our Pet CBD, since 500 mg. was plenty for topical use. Due to the results I was having, I continued to research and found articles regarding the use of CBD for acne. I shared these with my daughter and she became part of the experiment. She has been using prescription acne medication for over 5 years and the prescription medication often leaves her skin dry and irritated. It seems she exchanges one problem for another. She has ditched the prescriptions and has been using CBD tincture every night and her acne has significantly improved. At first, we were both shocked as CBD tincture is definitely an oil and putting an oil on the skin to treat acne seems to go against common beliefs in the treatment of acne. However, it is also a natural anti-inflammatory and these anti-inflammatory properties seem to be improving her skin as well. In addition to fewer pimples, her skin is smoother and her skintone is more even with less redness. So far we have both been happy with our results. Finally, my daughter has also given me permission to share the success she has had using CBD to treat IBS and the tummy problems she has. In January, she went to the hospital for treatment of pretty intense IBS symptoms. She decided after a lot of reading to try to treat her IBS naturally through diet rather than starting prescription medication. She significantly decreased the amount of sugar and processed foods she was eating and replaced them with plenty of vegetables, fruits, and whole grains. Additionally, she started used CBD tincture twice daily. She has also opted to use smokeable hemp pre-rolls when she feels IBS symptoms coming on. So far, her results have been outstanding. We have personally found many uses for CBD that have improved our health and the quality of our lives. We would love to hear your stories as well!
